  1. Sometimes leadership is reflected in a person's patience before taking action. I was looking for a closer/stronger connection to preparation, training and expectations before a major crisis. We don't want people to overreact, particularly those who are unseasoned. There is a reason the controls/procedures you mentioned are in place. However, crisis response training may require exceptions to standard protocols when life, limb and property are threatened. I will reflect on this lesson a little more. Thanks for stretching the minds of leaders.

  2. What a great, relevant example with the Deepwater Horizon disaster. Imagine how different things could have been had the operator just had the trust and faith of the "leadership." Thanks for your work, David.
