SBC 2018 — Student Submission — Logan Huband

Hi, my name is Logan Huband. I’m a student in Chilliwack, British Columbia,
currently in grade 11 at Sardis Secondary School. I’m making this video to address what I
feel is important in the new budget, and give my two-cents on government matters. Beginning with the environment: the environment
is one of the most important areas that the budget should support greatly. Creating new ways to reduce waste, and making
clean renewable energy the norm, should be a top priority. Because at the end of the day, the budget
won’t matter if you don’t have a planet to use it on. Secondly, post-secondary education should
be made more affordable to increase accessibility to lower economic classes. This is also a key priority to ensure the
future stays strong with well-educated people. Lastly, affordable housing should be invested
in to grow the economy as well as gross cities and the population as a whole. In conclusion, I feel that the environment,
post-secondary education, and housing should be the main concerns of the new budget. Once again, my name is Logan Huband and I
thank you for taking the time to listen to my video.
