News Update “September 30, 2019”

UWW-TV News Update. A listening session focused on
parking will be held by Chief
Kiederlen on Thursday, October 3rd. The session is from noon to
1 in the afternoon at the
Summers Auditorium in the UC. A presentation about current
parking plans will be shown,
followed by a question and answer period. If you have
specific questions you would

262-472-4660. The University Center will be
celebrating its 60 years on
campus from September 30th to October 5th. Activities and
events will be held weeklong.
Celebration begins with a plaque ceremony on September
30th in UC room 259. A community
wide Anniversary Bash is held on October 4th starting at 4 in the
afternoon. According to the
preliminary 10th day enrollment data, UW-Whitewater welcomes a
highly engaged and diverse
student body of 12,368 for the 2019-2020 academic year. For the
3rd consecutive year, Whitewater
has been named among the Colleges of Distiction, a
national honor that recognizes
campuses for exceptional teaching and dedication to
students success. The University
of Wisconsin- Whitewater will be hosting it’s interactive
diversity experience, Boxes and
Walls. The oppression experience starts October 20th from 1 in
the afternoon to 5 in the
afternoon and then October 21st and 24th from 6 in the evening
to 10 at night. Those interested
in voluteering for the event should cantact Dan Hudson by
October 4th. The Send Silence
Packing exhibit will be held on Tuesday October 8th from 9 in
the morning to 4 in the
afternoon. The exhibit will use backpacks and personal stories
of people in order to raise
awareness of the number of college students who lose their
lives to suicide each year. Flu
shots are now available at the Ambrose Health Center. Shots are
10 dollars for students and 15
dollars for faculty and staff. Family Fest will be held this
upcoming weekend, October 4th
and 5th. Family Fest is a great opportunity for students and
staff to host their friends and
family. Tickets for the Warhawk home football game on Saturday
are free for students with their
Hawkcard ID. General parking for the event is 5 dollars while
parking in lot 11 is 10 dollars. For more updates, stay tuned to
