Midday Weather Update: Couple Chances For Thunderstorms

WHO THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER IS. THAT GIRL IS NOW SIX YEARS OLD. SWITCHING GEARS NOW TO WEATHER. SOME STORMS ON THE — ON THE HORIZON YEAH. WE GOT PRETTY LUCKY FOR THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY BECAUSE WE DID HAVE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BEFORE THE SUN CAME UP THAT KIND OF CLEARED ONCE THE SUN DID RISE AND IT’S BEEN QUIET. JUST REALLY STEAMY OUT EVER SINCE. MUGGY. VERY, VERY MUGGY. I GUESS THAT’S A GOOD THING THAT AT LEAST IT’S DRY FOR NOW BUT IT WON’T STAY THAT WAY. WE’RE WAITING ON A COLD FRONT AND I WANT TO SHOW YOU WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING ON STORM SCAN HERE, A LITTLE BIT OF A WIDER ZOOM. THERE WAS THAT ROUND OF RAIN AND STORMS THAT HAS LONG SINCE EITHER WORKED ITS WAY OUT OF OUR AREA TO THE NORTH OR IT’S LONG SINCE OUT TO SEA BUT WE STILL NEED THIS FRONT TO COMPLETELY SAC OUT. UNTIL THAT HAPPENS THE HEAT HAS BEEN BUILDING AND THE HUMIDITY HAS BEEN BUILDING AND THE FEATURES ARE GOING TO HELP GET THE INSTABILITY GOING FOR US TO END UP WITH SOME OF THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS RUMBLING THROUGH. WHEN WE TAKE YOU THROUGH FUTURE WEATHER IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS WHAT YOU’LL FIND IS A BUILDUP OF CLOUDS AND SCATTERED, THAT’S THE KEY WORD HERE, SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. NOTHING THAT COMES THROUGH HERE LOOKS LIKE IT’S GOING TO BE SUPER WIDESPREAD TO THE POINT THAT EVERYONE IS GETTING HIT AT THE SAME TIME. THIS IS A CLASSIC SORT OF SUMMER LIKE PATTERN BUT THERE WILL BE A WIDER SPREAD COVERAGE OF IT INTO THE EVENING SO TAIL END OF THE TYPICAL P.M. RUSH IS WHERE IT’S AT WHEN IT COMES TO THE WIDEST SPREAD COVERAGE OF IT AND ALSO SOME PRETTY DRENCHING RAIN ALONG WITH THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS AS WELL. LATER ON TONIGHT THOUGH HIGH PRESSURE TECHNICALLY DOES REGAIN CONTROL. WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE WORST OF ANY PRECIP START TO TAPER OFF INTO TOMORROW MORNING. THE PROBLEM IS WE DON’T SEE A LOT OF SUN. SO, YEAH, WITH HIGH PRESSURE IN CONTROL I THINK A LOT OF TIMES YOU JUST IMMEDIATELY ASSUME THAT THERE WILL BE SUNSHINE AND TYPICALLY THAT’S THE CASE. BUT THE WAY THIS HIGH IS ANCHORED OFF TO OUR NORTHEAST YOU GET A CLOCKWISE FLOW AROUND IT AND THAT MEANS THAT WE END UP IN AN ON SHORE WIND FLOW SO IT WILL DEFINITELY BE COOLER AND IT WILL DEFINITELY BE A LOT LESS HUMID BUT YOU WILL PROBABLY NOT SEE A HECK OF A LOT OF SUNSHINE AND IT WILL BE KIND OF A BREEZY DAY. TOMORROW IS A REPRIEVE FROM THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY BUT IT’S NOT REALLY THE PRETTIEST DAY WE’VE SEEN. NOW BEYOND THIS POINT, AT LEAST WHAT WE CAN PROMISE YOU, TOO, IS THAT THE SUN DOES COME BACK BUT SO DOES THE HUMIDITY. BY SATURDAY, WE’RE ALREADY TRACKING ANOTHER DISTURBANCE. NOT MAJOR ONE BUT IT’S A SERIES OF FRONT THAT WILL COME THROUGH WITH A RENEWED POTENTIAL FOR A SHOWER OR STORM ON SATURDAY. THAT HELPS GET THE HEAT BUILDING AGAIN. OUTSIDE WE GO TO WE’LL CALL IT A PARTLY SUNNY SKY HERE OUTSIDE HOTEL BETHLEHEM IN THE LIVE NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORK BUT OBVIOUSLY SUN IS PEEKING THROUGH AS IT REFLECTS OFF OF THE CAR WINDSHIELDS THERE BUT THE DEWPOINTS ARE VERY — THEY’RE UP THERE. THEY’RE VERY MUCH UP THERE. SO, RIGHT AROUND 70 DEGREES IN OTHER WORDS IT FEELS REALLY STEAMY OUTSIDE. WILDWOOD, YOU ARE JUST WHEW, IT IS SWELTERING DOWN AT SOME OF THESE SHORE POINTS RIGHT NOW. TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURES THOUGH AND THE WIND IS STARTING TO SHIFT. WE HAVEN’T SEEN TOO MUCH OF A SHIFT ON THE DEWPOINTS YET BUT IT IS REALLY HOT OUTSIDE. ATLANTIC CITY CHECKS IN AT 90 DEGREES. THIS TRANSITION CONTINUES FOR US AND IT STAYS WARM THIS AFTERNOON. WE’RE AT 85 RIGHT NOW. THAT’S THE FORECASTED HIGH. IT FEELS BASICALLY 10 DEGREES WARMER THAN THE AVERAGE. BY TOMORROW WE’RE TALKING ABOUT A HIGH THAT’S HELD BACK AT ABOUT 73 DEGREES SO OBVIOUSLY A LOT COOLER, THE BREEZE IS SOMETHING YOU’LL NOTICE BUT THE HUMIDITY ALSO DROPS AND THEN COMES ANOTHER DISTURBANCE SO WE ARE EXPECTING A COUPLE OF SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS ON SATURDAY. NOT A WASHOUT OF A DAY. BUT IT IS GETTING HOTTER AND MORE UNSETTLED AND BY SUNDAY AND MONDAY I MEAN YOU’RE FLIRTING WITH 90 DEGREES ALL OVER AGAIN HERE ALTHOUGH HIGH PRESSURE SETTLING BACK IN FOR A STRETCH HERE SO WE COOL BACK OFF ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. THOSE LOOK LIKE REALLY NICE DAYS AT THE MOMENT. HOPEFULLY IT STAYS THAT WAY. YEAH. THEY ARE THE LAST TWO DAYS OF THE SEVEN-DAY. THINGS COULD CHANGE. HANGING ONTO SUMMER. FINGERS CROSSED.
