Israel supports the Kurds in north Syria – TV7 Israel News 07.11.19

Shalom and good evening, this is TV7 Israel
News broadcasting to you from Jerusalem; And in today’s top stories;
Israel declares the preservation of the Kurdish hold over north Syria as a vital component
to regional stability and the battle against Islamist militants that are led by the Islamic
Republic of Iran. Turkey emphasizes its intention to send all
of the Islamic State members it captured in Syria and elsewhere to their countries of
origin, even if their citizenships have been revoked. French President Emmanuel Macron declared
the Iranian move to scale-back their commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal “a profound
shift” that projects Tehran’s decision to leave the agreement in an explicit and
blunt manner. Israel has a salient interest in preserving
the strength of the Kurds and other minority groups in north Syria. Israeli deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely
underscored Jerusalem’s reasons, in a speech to the Knesset’s plenum; insisting that
the Kurdish-led forces – which she referred to as “moderate and pro-Western elements”
have proven their utility many times over in the battle against Islamist militants in
general, and in the fight against the Islamic State in particular. “Israel indeed has a salient interest in preserving
the strength of the Kurds and the additional minorities in the north Syria area, as moderate
and pro-Western elements who proved their utility many times over the years, especially
during the fighting against ISIS.” The deputy Foreign Minister stressed that
“the possible collapse of the Kurdish hold in north Syria” is perceived by Jerusalem
as “a negative and dangerous” scenario, as it effectively bolsters negative elements
that are headed by the Islamic Republic of Iran. She further revealed that the Jewish State
granted the Kurds with assistance, mainly in the diplomatic and humanitarian spheres,
to help alleviate their distress, during the month-long Turkish cross-border incursion,
through a range of channels. “The possible collapse of the Kurdish hold
in north Syria is a negative and dangerous scenario as far as Israel is concerned. It is absolutely clear that such an event
would bring about a bolstering of negative elements in the area, headed by Iran. Since the beginning of the Turkish invasion
of north Syria, Israel has received many requests for assistance, mainly in the diplomatic and
humanitarian realm, following the killing of hundreds of civilians, the wounding of
thousands and the uprooting of hundreds of thousands of civilians. We identify with deep distress of the Kurds,
and we are aiding them through a range of channels. While Hotovely did not elaborate on the referred-to
Israeli assistance, other than revealed that during “dialogue with the Americans” Jerusalem
stated its position vis-à-vis the Kurds, and underscored Israel’s moral conviction
on taking a stand for the Kurdish people. “The reality we find ourselves in is still
an emerging reality following the American agreement (with Turkey). There is a dialogue with the Americans, Knesset
member Hauser. We state our truth in the diplomacy rooms,
regarding the Kurds, and we are proud of our taking a stand alongside the Kurdish people. Really, there is a moral stand here.” It is important to note that the Israeli assistance
to the Kurds of northern Syria is aligned with Jerusalem’s decades-old policy. Since the late 1950s, the Jewish State has
maintained discreet ties with the Kurds, in the military, intelligence and business sectors. Some believe that the Kurdish-Jewish alliance
stems from events that occurred more than a thousand years ago, in 1187, when the Kurdish
leader of the time – Commonly known as Saladin – led the Muslim armies against the Crusaders
who controlled the Kingdom of Jerusalem. According to documented historic manuscripts,
upon the Islamic capture of Jerusalem, Saladin permitted Jews to resettle in the city, which
consequently established a centuries long and unique friendship between the Jewish and
Kurdish people. Meanwhile in northern Syria;
Russian and Turkish forces that are patrolling a narrow strip of Syrian land along a 72 kilometers
stretch of Turkey’s southern border, equal to a little under 45 miles; are faced with
repeated incidents of resistance by local civilians. A video released by Syria’s North Press
Agency purported to show a passing Turkish and Russian military convoy in the city of
Kobani, pelted with stones by local residents. A Turkish source told TV7 that “the incident
was orchestrated by Kurdish YPG (militants) that are making every effort to destabilize
the situation” within Ankara’s envisioned safe-zone. While Kurdish officials did not immediately
respond to TV7’s request for comment; earlier this week, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
insisted, in a speech to his ruling AK party, that the YPG militia had not withdrawn completely
from Syria’s northern “safe zone,” despite Ankara’s agreements with both Moscow and
Washington. In other, yet related, news;
President Erdogan revealed that Turkey’s armed forces have captured one of the wives
of the leader of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, more than a week the murderous
Islamist terrorist killed himself during a military raid by U.S. Special Forces. Speaking to students at Ankara University,
that Turkey managed to capture Baghdadi’s wife, as well as his sister and brother-in-law. “We captured his wife but we didn’t make a
big fuss. I am announcing it here for the first time. At the same time, we captured his sister and
brother in law in Syria.” The capture of Baghdadi’s family members,
which was referred to by a Turkish official as an intelligence goldmine. According to the official, they were hiding
near the Syrian border town of Azaz, which is under Turkish control. It is important to noted that earlier this
week Ankara announced its intention to send all of the Islamic State members it captured
to their countries of origin, even if their citizenships have been revoked. Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu stressed
that while Ankara is willing to keep those terrorists under surveillance “for a while,”
it will not hesitate to “send them back to their home countries.” Furthermore, Minister Soylu complained about
European inaction on the matter – despite the fact that most of those so-called European
Islamic State members are actually either migrants or children of migrants that immigrated
from Muslim countries to Europe. “In term of the foreigners (Islamic State
prisoners), we will keep them under surveillance in certain locations for a while and after
that we will send them back to their home countries.” / “We are not a hotel for anybody’s Daesh
(Islamic State) members. It is not possible to accept this. We have agreements with all these countries
and in these agreements, it is aforementioned to send them back but this, deprivation of
citizenship, is a new method. (The European countries saying that) ‘I denationalized
them, you are on your own.’ That is not acceptable to us. I am stating clearly that it is also irresponsible,
what am I going to do with your terrorist?” Turning now to Beijing, where;
Visiting French President Emmanuel Macron declared the Iranian move to scale-back their
commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal “a profound shift” that projects Tehran’s
decision to leave the agreement in an explicit and blunt manner. Speaking at a news conference at the end of
his visit to China last night, the French head of state noted that while he plans to
discuss the matter with the Iranian leadership, all must collectively face the consequences
of the move. “I think that yesterday’s decisions (by Iran)
are serious. And I think that for the first time, Iran
has decided in an explicit and blunt manner to leave the JCPOA (nuclear) agreement, which
marks a profound shift, compared to their approach over these last few weeks. And so I will have discussions in the coming
days with the Iranians but we must all collectively face the consequences.” President Macron further noted that the Iranian
move will force the international community to ratchet up pressure on the Islamic Republic,
with the aim of forcing them to return to the JCPOA, the technical term for the Iranian
nuclear agreement. “Now, for us the next few weeks will be
dedicated on one hand to increasing pressure from everyone for Iran to return to this framework
(JCPOA agreement), which must also be accompanied by the reduction of some sanctions to return
to an overall balance in the JCPOA.” Last night, at midnight, the Islamic Republic’s
atomic energy organization announced that it commenced with raising its enrichment production
to 5 percent, after it successfully injected uranium gas into 1,044 centrifuges in the
Fordo nuclear installation. It is important to note that the procedure
was conducted in the presence of inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency. For more information on Israel and its region

It will not be like the covenant
        I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
    because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to them”, declares the Lord.

  9. God (Yahweh) Bless Israel for defending the Kurds whom are surrounded by jackals and wild hyenas. Israel knows what is like to be surrounded by 6th century animals. 14. Everyone knows I am an ardent supporter of Israel and also the Kurdish people. But I didn't know before yesterday that my fondness for both is so widely shared. It only makes sense- Their historic plights have been similar, they must at least share a kinship of common misery. I have been actively haranguing my elected representatives here in USA about the Turkish invasion, and I hope some of the work you Israelis are doing is supported by our Congressional funding. I don't happen to be 1/4 Kurdish, but maybe I get my compassion from my Jewish quarter.

  15. Our Living Loving Holy God Jesus Christ Yeshua will Definitely Always Protect Safeguard ISRAEL in every way.
The whole world will bow down to the God of Israel, Who Is the Only True Living Loving Holy God Yahweh and God His Own Only True Begotten Innocent Son Jesus Christ Yeshua, (Who is God in Human Form) The Great I AM.

  16. 5:46 "We captured his wife but we didn't make a big fuss. How could we? She was living in my guest house." It was a good idea to move the other family members back to Syria and capture them there. Great job fighting terrorism, Caliph. Those wives were bound to make trouble. Or be sold. You would know better than me.

  17. Turkey has funded ISIS, continues to fund jihadists who commit atrocities on Christians and ethnic minorities..
Erdogan and the Turks have no moral right to preach to anyone…they are part of the problem…

  26. We all know that the Palestinians, Hamas, the muslims, and the jihadists, and the Turkish are all killer machines. They wouldn't help anybody even then it comes to the Kurds. The only thing that the President of Turkey knows is to criticize Israel and accuse it for not treating the Palestinians well. The President of Turkey also said that his people built many Mosques. If he doesn't like the way the Palestinians live, why wouldn't he come to Gaza and take the muslims, the Hamas, and the jihadists with him. He would save people a lot of headaches.
About Emanuel Macron, he doesn't know who to fight back terrorism. When there were a terrorist attack six years ago, he didn't know what to do and when a Jewish delicatessen were attacked by the muslims, he didn't help the Jewish people.
Israel on the other hand, does help anybody in needs, especially when it comes to disasters and helping the Kurds.
