How To Update The Raspberry Pi Zero

Hey Thrifty Nation! In this video I am going to show you how to
update your raspberry pi zero first launch terminal
then start by typing sudo apt-get update this will update your list of repositories,
a repository is a collection of software for linux distributions… like raspbian or ubuntu. Next we are going to run sudo apt-get upgrade This will find any updates that are available
to packages on your pi and allow you to upgrade them by pressing the Y key for yes once that is finished, we want to run the
command sudo apt-get autoremove This will free up space on your raspberry pi from packages
that are no longer used If you’ve found anything useful in this
video please think about contributing over at Patreon.com/thethriftyworkshop It will really help me get better gear like
cameras and microphones and stuff to film to make these videos better for you
and don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already that helps too!

  1. You can execute the commands simultaneously with: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && sudo apt-get autoremove

  2. Wish you would've named this "How To Update The Raspberry Pi Zero W" so I wouldn't have wasted my time…. Looking to upgrade the Pi Zero that doesn't have wireless onboard.
