Gen 4 Machine Sync and ISG Software Update 19-1

Gen 4 Machine Sync and ISG Software Update 19-1

( whoosh sfx ) JANAE TAPPER: We’re excited
to announce the release of the 19-1 software
update. It includes a number of
improvements to automation, documentation, and
functionality within Gen 4 Displays. But first, we want to highlight
Gen 4 Machine Sync, a new option you’ll find very helpful
at harvest. Let’s see how it works… When in range… tractor speed
will synchronize with the combine, and the grain cart
will automatically position under the unloading auger
to efficiently fill the cart. As a result, the combine
operator can stay focused on maintaining harvest performance. This also helps reduce operator
effort and stress, especially when visibility is compromised. Gen 4 Machine Sync uses newer
technology that’s already included in base equipment on
your S700 combine. You just need to add the
antenna and Automation 3.0 activation… This is a lower cost to get
started compared to the previous GreenStar 3 solution. This activation includes
Machine Sync, plus in-field data sharing, which offers wireless
sharing of guidance lines and coverage maps, as well as
machine location, grain tank fill level, and unloading
auger status. Now, let’s shift gears and talk
about what’s new with the 19-1 software update for the 4600
CommandCenter and 4640 Universal Display. To help you coordinate
supporting equipment, Gen 4 displays now show
area remaining and estimated time until
completion. We’ve also doubled the number
of legend colors on the display to match what’s shown in the
John Deere Operations Center. This gives you the ability to
view a much higher level of detail on yield, prescription,
and as-applied maps. Another great new feature
included with the update is the capability to manually document
weather, soil, and field conditions. From the cab, you can record
wind speed and direction, which are critical details for
spraying records. You can also note conditions as
they change throughout the day. This information can then be
viewed in the John Deere Operations Center. With this update, AutoTrac
Implement Guidance is now compatible with SeedStar 4
planters. It allows the tractor to travel
off the guidance line in order to keep the planter on it. This ensures a more-accurate
path and limits crop damage during post-emerge operations. In addition, this software
update enables AutoTrac Turn Automation when operating
SeedStar 4 planters with easy-fold functionality. This helps you make easier,
faster, and more-consistent headland turns. What’s more, AutoTrac Implement
Guidance and Turn Automation are now compatible with Interim
Tier 4 and 30 Series tractors. Finally, for greater security,
the 19-1 update allows you to create a unique, 4-digit
PIN-Code for your Gen 4 Universal Displays and
StarFire 6000 receivers. Before the season starts, be
sure to update your display software so you can take full
advantage of the added Gen 4 functionality.
