My interests is in metastasis The deadliest aspect of cancer The ability of tumor cells to spread through out the body Our group is researching enzymes that Chew holes that allow tumor cells to spread We’ve identified one enzyme we feel is critical for this process And are developing novel inhibitors to slow down the spread of numerous cancers What makes FAU Unique is the research environment We have three high quality research institutes All on the same campus Scripps, Max Planck, and the Center for Molecular Biology and Bio Technology It’s very rare to have three such research institutes All in the same place Provides us with tools that most other research institutes do not have
