  1. So, that's the big news of the year!! Bring on the next chapter (and yes I will still go for the nationality again one day 😋) . Big bisous!

  2. Hey! Inspiring videos! I'm a kiwi girl in the same situation as you, only my partner is Brazilian so I was living in Brazil for two and a half years. It's so nice to see other kiwis doing this and trying to learn languages since this isn't pushed so hard at school. I only learnt Portuguese while I was in Brazil just through day to day life, no lessons, and the secret for me was listening to music, and drinking beer for confidence … bisous

  3. Hi Rosie
Congratulations on your future wedding.!!

  4. Do you have any encouragement/advice for someone who is at about a B1 level in French, knows a lot of vocabulary/grammar, but just can't seem to speak well? It seems like no matter how hard I try, gibberish comes out when I actually try to talk to someone lol

That's really annoying, i never know which language i need to use to comment your videos ^^ ! Congrats !

  8. you managed to pay back 35 000 € in 5 years!??? Are you serious? I fking didn't live the past 5 years to pay back my debt of 18 000€ … You need to tell me how to do

  11. Waow! Congratulations for your engagement!!! Hope you’ll be sharing what it’s like to organisĂ© a wedding when you’re far from your family and marrying a French guy!

  12. Just Subscribed, Hope you reach to 50k goal quickly before your birthday. In december, it will be 5 years stay in France for me. We came to France in the same year. 🙂

  14. Congratulations on your engagement! Congratulations on freeing yourself from debt! That is as life changing as marriage. First, buy a few nice things to celebrate. Then I recommend continuing your frugality until you have a good nest egg. Having some savings will relieve a lot of financial worry. Also don't listen to life advice from strangers on the internet 😉

  15. Was a beautiful news congratulation. But it is so awesome to here from you why because everything coming from your heart. Every word coming from heart go into the heart.

  16. I like these kind of videos. It’s nice to hear updates about your life. Great job on all the successes 🙂

  17. OMG YAY SO HAPPY FOR YOU! I found your channel like two days ago and I recently watched a video where you said you didn’t have a ring yet and now you do!!! CONGRATULATIONSSSSSSSSS! I am so glad I found your channel! The first video I watched was the one where you had to pronounce hard French words 🙂 Have a good day!!!! YAY SUPER HAPPY FOR YOUUUUUUUUU

  18. Hello Rosie!! Please answer my question if you can :). Didn't you do your Masters in Paris? If so, weren't you eligible to apply for citizenship after just two years and not five? Im studying in Paris right now myself so I hope Im not missing something.

  19. Someone who has Guy Delisle's bandes dessinées on her bookshelf cannot be bad person (we can identify "Shenzen", "Pyongyang", "Chroniques Birmanes" and "Chroniques de Jérusalem"). Thanks for these wonderful videos, by the way, and congrats for your impeding marriage!

  20. Salutations ! Just discovered your channel by the video about french swears, so I checked your other videos and of course sub ! I think that you might do humoristic videos as well as "serious" ones like this one, bonne soirĂ©e 😉
PS : Congratulations from South-Est of the France đŸ‡«đŸ‡· 😘

  21. Congratulations! I am impressed, too, that even at a level of B2 (I think you said) in French that you are able to work in France. Good job!

  22. Hey! I subscribed a few videos ago but happy to help you work towards your 60k goal! Great vids. Keep them coming!

  26. FĂ©licitations Rosie !
Living in a foreign country and marrying someone from a different country is one of the most challenging things in life but as well one of the most rewarding ones. I know what I’m talking about : I’m French, I used to live in London ( for 10 years) and now I live in Japan with my Japanese husband ( who only speaks Japanese 😅).

  28. You would not get french nationality anyways, it requires to be muslim or black first, then not speaking a single french word and finally hating white people who live here for centuries.

  29. Congratulations Rosie! 🎉 End of August – beginning of September is a good time to review one's goals! I feel like my motivation is very high at this time of year, as if I was still going to school and this was the beginning of a new school year with lots of things to learn. Keep up the good work, you're doing great! 😊

  32. good luck on your 50 k subscribers! (you knew you would have them, didn't you. You willingly underestimate the progression).
As for getting the nationality through mariage. 4 years instead of 2. It sounds like you're postponing the event.
Congratulation to you and your fiancé.

  35. You will still need to apply for citizenship. You don’t get it automatically because of marriage……having said that, my experience is in another european country.

  36. Fantastic! I became debt free this Summer as well and will have final payment on my college loan in November! Congrats on achieving u goals and on your engagement!

  37. I'm going through the French citizenship process right now and the wait is at the max 18 months. I spent three months full time gathering documents because the documents have to have dates that aren't older than three months. After that, I turned in my dossier and two weeks later had a date for the interview with the prefecture. This is the same for my two friends that are also going through the process right now (they are married to French men but I am not). The documents were all the same that we turned into the French government but the interview with the prefecture is different. Don't be intimidated..it's not that bad if you are a good document collector and obviously you would do fine on the French test where you need only a B1 level. I think the point is to go for it when you have a little extra time to jump through the hoops.

  38. Congratulations I have a French partner and a nz citizen myself and studying at Alliance Française hoping to marry too 😊 hoping one day to become French myself

  39. Congratulations, Rosie, and I, for one, am delighted to hear you’ll be continuing your Youtube videos. So … when do we, your 60k subscribers, get to meet your fiancĂ©? Just a quick in-and-out of the frame will suffice.

  40. 8:03 Well, I'm (finally) watching this video just three days after your 1-year anniversary on YouTube, and right now you're at 55K subscribers, so you almost definitely were at 50K three days ago 😀 I expect you to be at 60K within a few weeks, and I think you'll be over 75K EASY by the end of the year. 😛 Now I'm curious to see how my predictions do.

  41. Rosie….
